Foreign Minister of the Republic of Serbia I. Mrkic took part in the informal meeting of Foreign Ministers of the EU member states with the candidate countries, held in Athens on 5 April 2014, at the invitation of Greek Deputy Prime Minister and Ministry of Foreign Affairs E. in his capacity as President of the EU Council, and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy C. Ashton. On the margins of this event, Minister Mrkić had bilateral meetings with the Italian Foreign Minister F. Mogherini and Spanish Foreign Minster J. M. Garcia-Margallo.
